It is a technical world that we find ourselves in. We promise to guard your privacy while you’re a guest on our website as best as we can. Here is an outline of our Privacy Policy and the things that you can expect here.
Information that is gathered from visitors and how it is used
1. Cookies
Cookies are small digital signature files that are stored by your web browser that allow your preferences to be recorded when visiting the website. Also they may be used to track your return visits to the website. They will not access other files on your computer.
We do not use 3rd party advertising companies so we will not, therefore, set cookies for them.
In common with other websites, cookies stored on the webserver save details such as the visitor’s IP address, browser type, referring page, and time of visit.
Cookies may be used to remember visitor preferences when interacting with the website.
This information is used to enhance the visitor’s experience when using this website.
You may be able to block cookies via your browser settings but this may prevent you from access to certain features of the website.
2. Email Addresses
If we collect your e-mail address for any reason, it will not be sold, rented, or leased to 3rd parties. It will only be used for the H.E.L.P. Haskell Project to contact you if needed or to send a monthly newsletter. If you are contacted by us, the email will include an opt-out link to discontinue any further emails. We stay in strict compliance with the FBI and FTC Spam Legislation. Just because the legislation is called the CAN-Spam Act, we do not think that we can spam you. (silly pun, I know)
E-mail may be sent to inform you of news of our services or new articles that we have written or research that we have done.
Where registration is required, such as for one of our newsletters, or in client registration, the email and a username will be stored on the server.
If you have subscribed to one of our newsletters, you may unsubscribe by following the instructions which are included in e-mails that you receive.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, among other methods, on this site to see where our visitors are from. We know, we could probably use something just as effective that is a bit less intrusive. However, there is a browser plugin that will, allegedly, allow you to opt-out of Google Analytics. It is supposed to work on all websites. On this site and any others.
You can download the plugin for the browser you use. Here is the link to the browser plugin to block Google Analytics in Firefox. Here is the link for the plugin to block Google Analytics in Chrome. There should be one to support any other browser you may be using.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically by us. In the event of a significant change to this policy, we will notify our clients who are registered with us and inform you of the changes made.
We are pleased that you are visiting our site and look forward to sharing with you.
