Cherokee (North Carolina)
Cherokee Boarding School (1883-1954), was begun by the Society of Friends (Quakers) who contracted with the federal government to fund the program.
The school was located on the Qualla Boundary (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indian Reservation) at Cherokee, North Carolina.
